Do you have a room in your home that just doesn’t have a purpose?
Dead space equals wasted space and lost potential. That’s why we get a real kick out of helping our clients turn a non-used room into a comfortable, fully-functional home theatre. And what’s even better, we can achieve these transformations in just a matter of days.
Our team of home theatre experts recently helped a client take advantage of a room in their property that had no use. Let’s take a look at how the project unfolded in a bit more detail. A quick spoiler before we get started – the entire process took just four days. Yep. Less than a week from initial consultation to the finished product.
Quality is key, and our skilled team is committed to only using industry-leading components to achieve the very best home theatre experience for our clients.
For this job, we went with a Black edition Epson TW9300 ISF projector to ensure excellent image quality. Once paired with a Tauris 110-inch screen, we were in business.
To create an immersive, surround-sound setup, we opted for a Yamaha RXA880 Amplifier hooked up to a number of Jamo speakers:
Jamo IC608 LCR front left, right, and centre in-ceiling speakers
Jamo IC408 surround and surround back speakers
Jamo Sub J110 subwoofer
Now, for the entertainment. We added in a Panasonic DMR PWT 500GB Blu Ray with twin tuner and an RTI XP6 Control Processor with an Apple iPad Mini for use with the control.
Our team performed a full ISF calibration along with audio calibration to get the most out of all the incredible technology. You can find out more on this process in our advice and news section.
With the tech in place, we turned our attention to the room itself. We wanted to create the perfect atmosphere for our client, one that captured the magic, excitement, and intrigue of cinema.
To do this, we used four Domus 90mm 13W Dimmable black downlights, 11 square metres of star ceiling panelling, LED step lighting (just like in a real cinema), and the super comfortable Manhattan New Yorker Config 521 theatre seating.
The results were achieved in under a week, and trust us when we tell you, the room looked incredible.
