Before & After

Stage 1

For this beautiful coastal home in a prime location just north of Sydney the client wanted a full home home theatre with a 4K projector shooting onto a large 140-inch screen, with a 7.2.4 Dolby Atmos system supplying the audio. We also wall-mounted 7 Samsung TV’s across the property with Sonos soundbars, as well as installing zoned audio across 8 separate entertaining areas with Sonos driving these.

Let’s start by looking at what a 4K laser projector brings to a home cinema room.

Stage 2

Why install a 4K laser projector?

Not sure what features a 4K laser projector has, and what your home cinema experience benefits from installing one?

Stunning picture quality
4K laser projectors offer stunning picture quality with deep blacks, bright colours, and pin-sharp details. This is because 4K resolution has 4 x the picture resolution of Full HD, with four times as many pixels on the screen.

Stage 3

Laser – The best option
Laser projectors have a much longer lifespan than traditional projector bulbs. A laser projector can last for up to 20,000 hours, which is equivalent to watching a movie for 8 hours a day, 7 days a week, for over 5 years. This means that you won’t have to worry about replacing the bulb for a long time.

Wide viewing angle
4K laser projectors have a wide viewing angle, which means that no matter where you sit you’ll always get a good picture.

Low maintenance
There is very little maintenance required with a 4K laser projector. With a bulb that lasts up to 20,000 hours, the most you will need to do is give your machine an occasional dusting.

Let’s take a closer look at this home theatre installation project, and some tech highlights.

Tech highlights of this installation…

140” Fixed Acoustical screen

An acoustical screen has a unique woven structure that helps to absorb sound in the room, not reflect it. Sound waves travel in waves, and when they hit an acoustical screen, some of the waves are absorbed and some are reflected. The amount of sound that is absorbed or reflected depends on the material that the acoustical screen is made from. Acoustic screens can help to reduce noise levels by up to 50%.
